You were made to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous...
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be?...Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel unsure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Jogging Away
Well Ladies, I have found the trick to fast cardio. Have your child son/daughter or possible pet jog, ride their bike, etc as you try to run 2.5 miles. When you know you are being followed, you jog a lot faster and breath heavier. Even though you know it is your son, you still jog faster. Talk about combining family home evening and exercise at the same time! Wow, Super Mom!

Slipping Up and Moving On...
"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Karate Choppy Waters
Here is a pic from our second attempt at water aerobics that occurred this week. I (Shannon) decided to post this picture out of all that were taken because it made me laugh as it looks like Shiree is going to go all Chuck Norris-Karate Kid on our new teacher while Kira, Peggy, and Amber just stand back and watch it all go down...

Ronald McDonald's House
So we as the Brewsters feel the need to do what we can to give back a little to the community and the world around us. As a newly formed group, we decided that the first place we would go would be to the Ronald McDonald House. What an incredible place this is. It offers housing, support, and so much more to families who have children who are undergoing medical treatment at a local children's hospital.
The stress that these families face each day is incomprehensible to most of us. And the last thing they want and should have to worry about is cooking. So that is where we came in. The Brewsters converged on the kitchen and made dinner for the house...
What was for dinner you may ask? The most easy of crock pot recipes! Let us share:
Mix all of the dry ingredients with the water and pour over the roast. Cook in the crock pot for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low. Thicken the drippings for your gravy. And voila! (and trust us, if we can do this without messing it up, anybody can do it!)

Roast, gravy, and a side of potatoes...Success! |
The food wasn't the only hot stuff in the kitchen! |
Thank you everyone who made tonight possible...for your donations, the use of your crock pots, for your time, your help, for being there, and just being you! It takes a village to raise a child and to pull of a well done service project...we couldn't have done it without the help of everyone. We truly do appreciate you all.
Thank you Ronald McDonald House for sharing your space with us tonight and for those of you who shared a little of your time and of your stories with us. We will be praying for you.
